Aunt Nell

Aunt Nell passed away September 15, 2009 and she is gone to be with her Lord and Savior (I am so thankful for that.) I thought I was truly getting over her being gone, but I am not so sure that is something you can get over completely. Yesterday Landon said her name. I wasn't sure that I heard him, so I asked what he said. He asked, "Where's Aunt Nell? I really need to see her." I told him that she has gone to live with Jesus in heaven. He told me that she lived at her house and then he continued to ask me how Jesus got her to His house. Whew, tough questions from a 3 year old! I don't think that I made him understand, but he finally stopped asking the questions. I thought about her a lot last night and I wanted to share some pictures of her with Landon.

Unfortunately, these are the last pictures I have of her and Landon. During Easter 2009, she was too sick to come over to my parents' house; however, she had to see Landon hunt eggs. We took our eggs over to her house and rolled her on the porch to watch Landon hunt his eggs.

Below is one of my favorite pictures of Landon and Aunt Nell.

This is the first time she was able to meet Landon. She was unable to come to the hospital when he was born. She was so glad to meet him.

Kids Do Say the Funniest Things

I wanted to share some of the funny things that Landon has said lately.
  • He told Mrs. Mandy (his fabulous new babysitter) that he burped in his pants.
  • Landon, Nana, and I sat down at the table to eat our supper one night this week. After we sat, Landon said, "Well girls, How is it?"
  • If the doesn't want to do something he will say, "No we can't do that. It's dangerous!" He has been a major home body lately. He doesn't want to be away from his Mommy or Daddy.
  • "I can't want you, Mommy."

Bed Rest

Yesterday I had a little scare and went to the doctor to make sure everything was okay. I really thought Charlie Lawson was on his way even though I didn't seem to have contractions. The doctor said everything looked okay. I have a low lying placenta, which caused some spotting. The baby checked out fine. His heartbeat was great and so was everything else. I have to stay home for the rest of the week and take it easy. I can guarantee that Chad and I will be very busy preparing for his arrival this weekend just in case:) Thanks for your prayers, calls, texts, etc.

To Infinity and Beyond...

Nana, Daddy, and I took Landon to see Toy Story and Toy Story 2 today. He sat through every minute of both movies. I do realize that he likes to watch too much tv.

He didn't wear the glasses most of the time, but he still enjoyed the movies.

After the movie we had to make a trip to Target of course. Since Landon got two Buzz Lightyears for his birthday, we traded one for a Woody. Woody even decided he was going to cook tonight and ended up in my chili on the stove. Landon has played with Woody all afternoon. His new favorite phrase, "Howdy Partner!"

Landon's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Landon's 3rd birthday yesterday. Of course we had a Spiderman party. Enjoy the pictures!

Peek a boo, I see you!

The adorable cake made by Mandy. Yes, it does taste as good as it looks.

All dressed up in my new chef outfit from Aunt Susan

He was ready to open presents so he got Reed and told him to open the presents. He couldn't wait! He has had so much fun with all his new toys. We have literally played with everything.
