Merry Christmas!!

It's been a long week!

I must say that teaching is absolutely insane during this time of year. I truly feel that my second graders eat sugar all day long during December. They have been so wild. I think I can survive four more days, but I am not sure.

We went to the Hernando Christmas parade on Monday with Chris, Erin, and Landon's best bud, Reed. It was so much fun. We are truly blessed to have such great friends. Landon had a lot of fun especially with the cotton candy. Sorry Chad :) He was ready to kill me. I must have cotton candy at the parade.

Landon is now climbing. He climbs in his rocking chair and tries to sing. It is so funny!

Let's eat!

Landon loves to eat if you weren't able to tell from the pictures! I put some cookies for my secret teacher in my shopping cart and I went to grab a drink for my mom and I. When I returned my mom had given Landon the cookies. She thought they were for him. He made such a mess; however, the best part is that he ate the cookies in my mom's car. She is probably to this day digging out Oreo cookies from her seats. During Thanksgiving he ate so much that I do not know how he did not blow up. He is eating chocolate pie with Pop and loving every minute.

Baby it's cold outside! I love his hat and mittens. I try to put them on him every chance I get.

I love these girls so much. We never get to see each other any more because we are so spread out. It was a great game and we had a blast with our wonderful friends.

The 1st Boo Boo, Tailgating, and Friends

Landon got his 1st boo boo this past Friday. He hit his head on our bed. I completely lost my mind. Thank goodness Chad remained calm. We spent 5 hours in the er waiting for them to give Landon liquid stitches. Saturday during the football game he fell and hit his head on the kitchen chair resulting in the huge knot in the middle of his forehead! I am going to check into a bubble to put him in.

We finally made it to our first football game. I am so ashamed; however, we have had a busy year. Landon made it through the entire game and he only cheered for Tennessee a few times. We are working on cheering only for the Dawgs! We will go back for the Alabama game to tailgate with our friends.

The Big 2-7

I turned 27 yesterday and I feel so old! I wanted to thank all my friends and family for a wonderful birthday. The cards, calls, and gifts were greatly appreciated! Special thanks to LT for the blog post. I am so blessed to have amazing friends and family :)

Wedding Festivities, Little Bulldog

Rob, Chad's brother, was married this past weekend. We had a very busy, but fun weekend. We are still trying to recover from all the activity. Landon did so good until wedding time when he decided to scream bloody murder. Needless to say, the cry room is not soundproof!

Future bulldog in training! Landon loves playing with the cowbell and his MSU football. We beat Auburn b/c he wore his jersery :) Landon will be 1 year old in 2 weeks. I cannot believe it and I miss my baby boy!

Four Steps

Landon took 4 steps tonight! He was chasing after Chloe and he didn't realize what he was doing. I am such a proud Mama right now. I took this picture last week b/c he has a cow lick. It has taken us a long time to get hair; however, some days we now have a twig that stands up on top of his head!

I love taking pictures of Landon with nothing on but his diaper. I guess I enjoy showing off his abs! He is so busy. I think he will be walking very soon. Our coffee table has moved upstairs until further notice.
We have been very busy with wedding showers for Chad's brother, Rob. Rob and Kristy are getting married September 22. It will be here before you know it and I have no idea how I am going to control Landon for the wedding. Any suggestions?

This is my best friend, Jodie. I have asked you for many prayers for her and her family. She is truly a miracle. She had a terrible car accident in April 2003, which caused injury to her brain. On our last trip home I went to visit her. She loves Landon and refused to change his dirty diaper. I have no idea why!

Election Humor

Well, Chad and I have decided that if we ever want to run for an elected position we must find nicknames. For those who don't know, I grew up in Carrollton, which is a very small town with no red lights just a four way stop. I thought you might find it funny if I shared the names of the people running for office.

The 1st Sleepover, Classroom News

I finally did it! I let Landon stay with his NaNa and Big Daddy last night. It was my first night to be without him and I survived; however, I did pout for a while.

Friday, I went to work in my classroom. I was getting my 1st grade room ready. My principal came in and wanted to know if I could move to 2nd grade. She said that we had too many students in 2nd grade and not enough in 1st. Of course I said yes. Three teachers and my principal helped me move my stuff to my new room. Wasn't that nice? I have taught 2nd grade for 3 years and I am very comfortable there. I am very excited about my new school and I think I will be working with some great people!

The Zoo and My Girls

My girls (nieces) came to visit me last week! Between Landon and the girls I did not rest at all. Kayla is about to be 10 in August and she is going into the 5th grade. I am so sad b/c I remember when she was a little baby and she thought her Nae Nae (that's me) was the best! Janie is 6 and will be going into Kindergarten. She is such a mess and she still kinda thinks I'm cool! This pic was taken outside the Memphis Zoo. We had so much fun!

We also went to Chuck E. Cheese's while Kayla and Janie were visiting. Landon was not afraid of Chuck E. and he really wanted to touch him!

Shelley's Baby Shower

The Girls had a baby shower for Shelley this weekend in Madison. Katelyn Marie Simpson is due September 9. The shower turned out great and Katelyn got some really cute stuff. I am slightly jealous that girls have cuter clothes than boys!

Yes, he is crawling all over the house. I cannot turn my back for a minute. Yesterday he pulled a lamp over and luckily it did not smack him in the head. The Robertson house is on the way to being completely babyproof!

We have been very busy lately! We went to Arkansas for a few days and then Lt (AKA Auntie Laura) came to visit. We had a great time as always and she even changed a dirty diaper! I know she will never volunteer to change Landon's diaper again. Thanks again for taking a turn Auntie Laura. By the way, she has on red earrings which are very cute; however, she was wearing a white shirt and a skirt that had purple and green in it. There was no red in her outfit any where until she decides to shake things up and wear red earrings. You are so so brave Lt! Keep on not matching!

Chloe's Puppies

Landon loves the puppies! We have been working on gently rubbing the puppies; however, he loves to grab them. The time has come for the puppies to go to their new homes and I am so sad. They are going to people who have promised to spoil them, so that makes me happy.
