More Beach Pics

Caden and Landon loved playing in the sand and watching the water.

Family pic

I love this picture! Landon kept his shoes on while he was playing. I don't know how he stood all that sand in his shoes. I would rather have the sand on my feet.

Landon did not want to take a picture with me at all. He only wanted his daddy.

Is this really what you call a vacation?

I will upload more pictures later when the computer decides to cooperate. I only took 200 pictures at the beach. We were supposed to meet our friends, Chism, Becca, and Caden at the beach on Friday. As we were on our way to Hattiesburg Chism called and said his grandfather died and they didn't know if they were going to be able to come. We called so many people to see if they wanted to go to the beach, because we were going to pay for the condo whether we went or not. We found no one so Chism, Becca, and Caden drove to the beach for one day. Caden is a trooper. I would have never done it. It was an eight hour drive.
When we got to Destin, we all decided to go to Big Kahunas. We played for about 30 minutes when it started to rain. Everyone had to get out of the water due to the storm. We decided to go ahead and leave because Landon's eyes were red from the chlorine. He was miserable and I am not a fan of water parks. I also hate to waste money and that was a huge waste!! We let the boys play on the beach before dinner and they loved it. Landon covered himself in sand and Caden loved the water.

We woke up Saturday and decided to go play at the beach. I ran downstairs to pack the cooler and beach bags. I fell! I could not stop falling. I have a nice bruise on my hip to prove it too.

We also spent Sunday at the beach. Landon and I played in the sand. He wanted to wrestle with Chad every time he laid down. By the end of the day, Chad had an allergic reaction to the sunscreen. Landon could barely open his eyes, because he had so much salt water and sand in them. He was squinting and his eyes were watering so bad. Later that night, Chad got sick.

We woke up Monday to head back home. Chad still didn't feel well. We stopped in Madison to get a drink and snack. We got back on the interstate and Landon threw up in the car. It was all over him and his car seat. I spent 45 minutes cleaning his seat. Those seats are not fun to take apart. We stopped at my parents' house to wash the car seat and clean the car. We ended up getting home last night at 11:30.

I am not sure that we will be going on vacation any time soon. We have been cursed! Believe it or not, we did have fun. Landon still isn't feeling well and I am hoping I don't get what they have.

Lucy and Mickey Mouse

This is Lucy. She is the most patient and loving dog. Landon pulls her hair, makes her eat everything, and tries to ride her. She has never growled or snapped at him. She is the best dog!

Landon is giving Lucy a hug!

Every morning, Landon has to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He has to have a blanket. He absolutely loves this show. I am going to have his 2nd birthday in Mickey Mouse.

Well, we will be leaving for the beach today, so look forward to many pictures to come!

Landon's 1st Haircut

Landon's hair as you can see had gotten too long in the back. I hated to have it cut since he finally had some hair. He did so good. He played with a comb while she cut his hair.

I finally have a new camera and my husband has a new toy! Rob, Chad's brother, called him to tell him about the great deals that Circuit City had on their tv's. Chad has been dreaming of the plasma, flat screen tv for a long time now. We went to buy a camera and came home with a tv as well.

I don't know why my child is fascinated with moving shoes from one room to the other, but he loves to do it all the time. He hasn't been feeling well, so I have tried not to shove the camera in his face. The doctor said he has a stomach virus, but I am hoping we are finally getting over this. I took a picture of him in his alligator pj's. He loves the alligator on his outfit and he gets really upset when I take it off of him.

Broken Camera :(

Well I am sad to say that my camera is still broken. It is the first thing on my agenda to be completed this week. Landon and I just returned from a long visit with BB and Pop (my mom and dad). Landon and I both were spoiled while we were there. My mom cooked so many yummy things. My favorite meal consisted of mashed potatoes, fried okra, purple hull peas, cornbread, and straight from the garden tomatoes. It was so good! Yes, I was raised in the country and you have to love the country cooking. I took some pictures; however, Erin's camera is a little different than mine. They load straight to my Kodak software and I cannot save them on my computer. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, please let me know!!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend. My camera is broken and I have borrowed Erin's digital camera. She is a fabulous friend if I haven't already told you. I am so thankful that she lives down the street from me. I would be lost without her. I am still trying to work on saving the pictures on my computer. Her camera is different than mine. I will figure it out soon to update my pictures. Enjoy the 4th and don't forget to relax!

Burning down the house!

Well I am sorry that I don't have pictures to prove the destruction that I caused today. I was baking taco salad shells in my oven. I was busy talking to Erin and listening for the kids. I decided to put the oven on broil since the shells were getting burnt on the bottom. I turned the oven on broil and I went to check on the Landon and Reed. When I came back, Erin said the oven is smoking. I immediately flipped out. I caught the shells on fire. I couldn't find the fire extinguisher, so I heard that flour helps. Well I threw a full jar of flour in the oven. It only worked long enough for me to grab the pans and throw them outside. Erin threw water on the flaming shells after I got them outside. I thought I had destroyed my house. It was so scary. Erin was so awesome that she helped to clean all the flour out of the oven. Thanks for your help, Erin! I will also find the fire extinguisher tomorrow or I will be purchasing a new one!
