Go Dawgs!

We are very excited about the kickoff of MSU football season. Special thanks to Ms. Peggy for our new MSU outfit. Landon cheers, "Go Dogs!" We are headed to Carrollton for the weekend. We will be visiting with the grandparents and hanging out with friends. Look forward to more pics after our return. Have a great Labor Day weekend!

I'm a big boy now!

We finally converted Landon's bed to a toddler bed. We bought a rail to keep him from rolling out onto the floor since we didn't actually purchase the conversion kit that fits the bed. Landon calls it the door. He says, "Mommy, shut the door." When the "door" is down, he calls it a slide. We also had a great weekend. No traveling! All the grandparents came to visit us. It was wonderful. My dad (AKA Pop) let Landon ride his back. My dad is not a young fellow and it was at least thirty minutes before he was able to get up out of the floor. He was such a trooper!

Playing with Reed, Mickey Mouse

Reed came over this week to play with us. They had a great time and Landon was very gentle with Reed.

I bought Landon a Mickey Mouse shirt this week. I am not sure how I am going to get it off him. It has a button that you press and it will sing. The button amazingly still works after Landon has pressed it a million times. Landon also loves his puzzles. He will work on his puzzles for hours.

Daddy's Little Shadow

Landon wants to be just like Daddy. Chad was cutting the grass and Landon had to help. Chad will stop and pull weeds as he is cutting. Of course, Landon stops and pulls weeds too. It was the cutest thing.

Proud Mama

Sorry that I haven't posted any pics lately; however, I have kids in my classroom tomorrow. I have been very busy preparing for their arrival. Tonight as I was getting Landon out of the bathtub, he put his hands together like he was praying. We've been working on saying our prayers. He put his hands together and I began to pray. He repeated me, thanking Jesus for his mommy, daddy, and family. Then he told me food. He wanted to thank Jesus for his food. He brought me to tears and I wanted to laugh at the same time, because of course my child would think of food!

Back to School

I met my first graders for the first time tonight. We had our annual Meet the Teacher. Parents and students come to school to meet their teacher and bring their school supplies. I am so excited after meeting my kids. I have great parents and some of the cutest kids that I have ever seen! We are going to have a great year.
