Fun on the Farm
Let me start this post by explaining a few things to you. My Daddy lives in Carrollton and raises cattle. He could win redneck yard of the year with all his tractors, tractor equipment, trailers, vehicles, and dogs. If you talk to him long enough, he will find out about all of your relatives and if you are related to us. He will also give you a nickname, because he won't remember your name! Pop went to buy a new calf. Did he take a truck and trailer? No! He took his van. This van has tools, food for the cows, grease, dirt, and everything else you can imagine in it!
Here is Charlotte (the new calf) in the van.
Another thing you should know about Pop is that he always leaves the gates open to the pasture. Well Charlotte decided she was leaving. Chad and Pop had to chase the calf and this is how they brought her back. I love my Daddy and there is no other man like him!

Very Important Men
We celebrated Father's Day in Carrollton with our families. I am so thankful for the men in my boys' lives.
Chad is an amazing and dedicated father as well as a wonderful role model. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We love you!
(Landon was not interested in taking a picture, so it was only Daddy and Charlie.)
Grandaddy and the boys
He is the sweetest man I know. He is so proud of his family. We celebrated Grandaddy's 83rd birthday with a fish fry. Happy birthday, Grandaddy!
Pop, the boys, and me
Pop loves his boys! He would do anything for myself or the boys. He is a dedicated father and I am so thankful for him.
Pop, BoBo, Denice, Tony, me, Charlie, Landon
Pop's kids went in together and bought him a new recliner. I must say that it is very comfortable!
Paw
Paw has been sick lately and we hope he feels better soon! We got him to open his eyes long enough to take a picture with Charlie. Unfortunately, Charlie almost poked him in the eye, so Paw decided it would be better not to open his eyes again until we left! Sorry, Paw!
Big
I am so disappointed that I did not get a picture of Big and his boys Saturday night. Big also loves these boys and would do anything for them. We can always count on Big.

Sitting Up
Charlie sat up for the first time on June 5th; however, he can sit very well without help now. He went to the doctor Tuesday and he is 19 pounds and 27 inches long. He cut his first tooth on Monday and he cut his second tooth today or last night (since we didn't sleep well).

The First Tooth
Charlie has been teething for a long time now. We finally have something to show for those sleepless nights and chewing on everything in sight! His first tooth broke through the skin yesterday.
Showing off the new tooth
You can barely see it, but it's there!

Atlanta 2010
We took a trip to Atlanta this past weekend. Chad had a few meetings and we had a wedding to attend, so the boys and I decided to tag along and take a little vacation! This was our first family trip and we all survived!
Ready to go
We went to the Georgia aquarium and truly enjoyed ourselves.
Picture time with Mommy
Checking out the fish
Our family picture; however, Charlie decided the fish were more important.
This penguin was very interested in Charlie.
Daddy and Landon getting a closer look at the penguins.
We also went to the Atlanta zoo. Unfortunately, we did not see very many animals. The exhibits made it hard to view the animals and we didn't have a lot of time.

The First Sleepover
Landon invited his best buddy, Reed, over for their first sleepover. They had a great time playing Superman and Spiderman or Woody and Buzz! I made them a bed in the floor and put on some movies. They stayed awake until midnight and were up and playing at 6:30 the next morning. Please visit The Gapens blog to see their play time after the sleepover.

Before
After
Since Landon and Reed had play time, Charlie and Chase had to do the same. Chase is 4 months old and Charlie is 6 months old. They really enjoyed watching and smiling at each other. It was so cute!
Charlie's latest trick is blowing his spit bubbles. This picture shows him in action!

6 Months Old
Charlie is now 6 months old. I cannot believe it! He is really close to sitting up by himself. He enjoys bouncing in his Jumperoo. He loves to eat banannas and pretty much anything that is not green. He now weighs 18 pounds and 14 ounces. We are having a lot of trouble sleeping at night, because of his teeth. I can feel little bumps all over his gums, but the teeth are just not breaking through yet.
We celebrated Memorial Day at Rob and Kristy's. Thanks for the invite. We had a great time!
Landon discovered the piano while we were there. You can imagine the lovely sounds and he really enjoyed dancing along with his own music!
Charlie and Big
Lala and I took the boys to the pool yesterday. Thanks for all your help, Lala! This was Charlie's first time to get into the water. He did not like being in his float; however, he didn't mind Mommy holding him. Landon refused to be in the picture, but that is him in the background.
